Divergent Thinking

Divergent thinking is a critical part of the creative design process during which we generate a large number of different ideas, such that we are able to get a better sense of the boundaries of the solution space we’re working with.

This differs from convergent thinking, which requires an understanding of the domain in which we’re working.
